Is it possible to supply a 2.5 million city only by air?

In principle not. Or you will dedicate this job to American and British pilots, organizing this adventure on the edge of a war as a competition race. Then it will work. What till now did not exist was a permanent introduction and show telling this exciting and dramatic event- to Berliners as well as tourists.
Wolfgang Kampe changed this. After many years abroad, the engineer and consultant settled in Berlin. Nearly alone he produced a 45 minutes film about the Blockade and the Airlift. Documentary films are expensive. They need investigations and technical effords, travelling and a lot of money for assuring the rights on footage.
Is it possible for one person to realize this?
In principle not. But Kampe did not know this at the beginning of the project, so he succeeded. From National Archive in Washington D.C. via Internet and from London he purchased original broodcast footage and fotos at German Federal Archives. Most valuable of all: Tthe famous " candybomber pilot" Gail Halvorsen donated his private 8-mm-films. Using this material Kampe created a stunning film, that can be highly recommended.

Dear Wolfgang, I thought the film would be good but I didn't know it would be that good!!! It is wonderful. You did a fantastic job and performed a great service. It should be shown in all the schools in Germany and America!
